Not reliable, if you misclick on the big UPGRADE ME button you lose anything you have recorded. This is newbie program - unprofessional.

Excelent recorder! Been using for quite some time, excelent quality. The only problem is that in recent updates the app stops recording when the phone enters "sleeping mode" (ie, the screen turns off and it gets blocked).

Thanks to the developers. I am using the app with the smartTalk clip on microphone ... creates high quality recordings. Transfer of files to my mac via wifi really easy. No cables, no itunes sync required.

Can you add a number badge to the app-icon on the iPhone homescreen, so it is everytime visible, if there are any unheard new recordings?

I use this to record lectures. Great app! I just wish I could share my recordings w friends.

The user interface is excellent, very clear and easy to use. You can record for a long time, and it records great. Unfortunately, you cant do much with the file youve recorded-- you can only email a 2MB file (20MB if you pay for the full version). Anything larger it says to use iTalk Sync, but that app doesnt exist on the App Store. Sounds like Im SOL for getting my recordings off my phone.

It Works.. It works. finally a record ap that WORKS...I am screaming, happy, rolling on my bed, laughing...oh God I wet myself. Now I can record my stories and upload them to my computer...THANK-YOU Story God!

Take 7sec for My ipod 4th to show the REC button. Enough to forget what i was thinking about.

I did 2 test files (which I still have), and I also recorded 2 files after that interview (which I still have, also). But the most important recording, a 1.5 hour interview, is missing. Thanks iTalk.

App looks more serviceable that the one that came with my iPhone but it still does not allow you to switch between apps and still listen to your recording. That would have gotten more stars.

This app is great. I recently traveled to Chicago and used this app to record everything we did while we were driving there. It is also very high quality. Out of the 3 voice memo recording apps I have, this is the best. And I cant believe its free!!

Love the app, records great BUT if you switch out of the app, or check a text or answer a call itll stop recording and you lose anything you havent saved. Fix this and itll be 5 stars

This is impractical. If you forget to press done with the recording after you press pause, and press pause again, it erases your recording instead of picking up where you left off. I lost an important 1 hr interview for work!!! I will never use this program again nor would I ever recommend it to anyone. 0 stars!

Please fix a bug so that u can keep recording when you go to home screen

This is a great, simple, easy to use recording app... The problem is, if you want to e-mail yourself the recording it cant be more than 2MB, which is usually around a few minutes. If the file you want to e-mail is larger than that and you try and send it, youll get a prompt saying you can e-mail files up to 20MB if you buy the premium version for $1.99. The problem with that is, if you have recordings in the free version, it wont let you e-mail them unless theyve been recorded in the premium version. So I just spent $1.99 and all my recordings are trapped on my iPhone which pretty much makes them useless...

Bought a version, it updated and now Im back to the limited free version. WTF. How about my money back now! Dont buy!

This app is great for music composer who needs to remember songs in process

I paid the $1.99 for the paid "deluxe" version of this app, only to find out the max is 5 megs per email, that is able to be sent. This turns out to be about 3 minutes 54 seconds approx. Apples built in "recorder" allows you to send an 8 minute long voice message in a single email ! ... and, I tested it, and iTalk creates smaller files !, so in theory, it COULD send a voice message LONGER than 8 minutes. Griffin, please change this ! Apple made a BIG mistake NOT including the recorder in IOS, in their iPAD and iPad Mini. I have no clue what they were thinking, it should be. Griffin needs to update this nice app, and also add TRIMMING which many FREE apps have ! Also, deleting voice mails is not straight forward, it could be made easier. However, for me, the main pitfall is paying for an app that should allow you to do an 8 minute or more voice mail per email. Gmail, and many other email programs allow 20 megs per email as an attachment. I love this app, but Griffin could easily upgrade it to allow longer voice messages in email . Thank you.

I used to be able to record in the background but thanks to their "upgrade" this is no longer possible. You know what will freeze over before I trust this company.

Its so good it made me lose all my belly fat. And now Im blacker than Usain Bolt. I feel great!!!! And dark. :)
